The Bolted Box:
The Cruiser Long with Bolted Box is exactly the same as the standard Cruiser Long, except for the box. The Bolted Box is made of the same material of the regular box, but it’s dark/black and shipped unassembled, so it fits in the box with the bike. This way we save a considerable part of the shipping costs, making it possible to offer the cargo bike a fair bit cheaper.
NEW: also available with the very strong EP6 motor!

I love this bike! Whether you want to go do something practical or just cruise around town you will want to take this bike out at every opportunity. From carrying groceries, to soil and plants, to roommates, this bike is an awesome hauler.
The box was a bit tricky to assemble given that the steel angles are at 90 degrees while some of the box angles are slightly more acute or obtuse than that. However, doable. My one issue was that the wire connecting the motor to the handlebar computer broke during shipping. I fortunately found a replacement wire at a local bike shop, but routing it through the frame was a major pain. Success took multiple tenuous attempts over several hours. I would recommend that this wire be unplugged in future shipping endeavors.
If you’re getting manual shifting, be sure to tune your internal hub when it arrives. There is instructions on how to do that in the included dealer manual. I didn’t do this initially and the first couple rides had rough shifts, “skipping,” and unsettling noises. Upon tuning the hub, it rides like a dream! I thought I wanted automatic shifting at first because of this issue, but now that it is working well I love having the 7-speed manual.
You may find that the front light starts flickering after a couple rides on rough surfaces. Inspecting the wire connection, it uses friction for continuity, I decided to route the wires so that they come up into the bottom of the connector rather than the back. Once I did that, no more flickering.
Wonderful bike. As it is shipped across a sea and, depending on where you live, a continent, expect to do a bit of work to get it up and running properly. Or get a bike mechanic to do so.
Thanks again for all of the help Steven!

We are so excited that this popular Dutch cargo bike is finally for sale in the US. The bike is awesome! Since it is electric it rides effortlessly and the kids and myself are enjoying it so much: riding to the park, playground, playdates et cetera. We love the fact that we are spending more time outside instead of always going by car.
The whole ordering process was great and Steven kept us updated (the bike was handmade for us!).
Thanks Amsterdam Bicycle Company and good luck with your business! Caroline
