I have been loving my new bike!
Really simple assembly, but I did have my bike mechanic friend double check it to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
It’s been, by far, the most awesome and luxurious feeling ride I’ve ever experienced on a bike. Definitely excited to ride it more.
Can’t think of anything negative to say about it, because it’s just that awesome!

Bike arrived in great shape and took about an hour to put together. Stephen was very helpful throughout the process and the only bummer was how long it took to arrive-which was not a surprise and was within the expectation set on ordering.
I’m looking forward to riding more next spring!

We ordered two bikes from Amsterdam Bicycle Store. A e-cargo bike and this Azor Ameland e-bike. My spouse rides the cargo bike with the kids and I follow along in this bike.
I love this bike. I’ve rode mountain bikes from Trek and Specialized for many years. I can say without a doubt that this bike is incredibly well built and looks absolutely stunning. It is built like a tank and the workmanship is incredible.
I spoke with Steven on the phone for over an hour talking about configurations. Due to the hilly nature of San Diego we decided that the Enviolo stepless shifter was the best option. I’m glad I went with that option because it is very cool. If you’re familiar with bikes you know how when you shift gears there’s a little clunk. The enviolo system avoids that because there is no gears. There’s a magical hub assembly that essentially has a continuous variable transmission. So you can adjust the “gears” while under full power. There’s no clunking and there’s no loss of power at any point. There’s this cool twist handle built into the right handle where you adjust the transmission. Within a few rides the system becomes second nature and you will find yourself adjusting the ride as the ride conditions change without even thinking about it.
The electric assist is amazing. Your ride can be as easy or as hard as you want. Want a good workout? Turn the system off or to eco. Tired or just want an easy ride? Turn the system to high and pedal effortlessly home.
I am so happy with this bike. It is absolutely everything I could have hoped for. Also, the price is very reasonable for what you are getting. Quality e-bikes run upwards of $5,000 locally. Sure you can find some for cheaper, but they are not the quality you want.
In short, Steven and his bikes are incredible. I give my highest recommendation possible.

I received my Azor Ameland bike a few days ago, and have now ridden it about 30 miles. I am extremely pleased. I got the blue color with the Shimano 8 Di2, and it looks (and, more importantly, rides) beautifully, with plenty of power to get up steep Seattle hills. The bike handles like a lighter bike than it is. The blue color is a little darker (and nicer) than what shows up in the photo on the web page.
This bike is noticeably well-designed and made. As an example, the fenders are made of strong metal and have thick stays. The racks use thick tubing. The way it’s built, I have no doubt this will be a durable bike.
I was a bit nervous ordering an expensive bike from a web store, but could not find a model I liked locally. Steven was responsive and helpful; he knows his product and gave excellent advice. After researching the brand and learning that Amsterdam Bicycle Company was an authorized dealer, I went ahead and ordered, and am glad I did. Steven kept me well informed; he gave an accurate wait time (for me about 5 weeks until being ready to ship), and it was worth the wait. My prior Dutch e-bike of another brand was stolen, and this replacement bike was better than I expected—far superior in construction than my prior e-bike. Highly recommended.

I recently received and self-assembled my Azor Ameland E-Bike from Amsterdam Bicycle Company. The order process, including pre-order questions, was smooth and easy. Emails were answered by Steven in a friendly, informative, detailed, and timely manner. Build and shipping times were within the ordering estimations. Assembly was relatively easy using basic tools, some provided. I say “some” only because I needed an extra 10mm spanner to hold the other end of a bolt while tightening. Not a big deal.
I wanted a “Dutch” style bicycle with the more upright and comfortable seating position. What better place to go than a Dutch bicycle shop? Already, I’ve had numerous compliments on my bike, especially my choice of the matte gray color. While not as “classic” as the glossy black, the raised metal transfers and matte gray color lend an understated elegance to the bike. I was initially concerned about weight capacity, but Steven assured me that I would have no problems. He is right! It is larger and a bit heavier (even without the battery attached) than my existing bike, and though it is aluminum, it is built like a tank. I’ve labeled it as the “Gold Wing” of bicycles.
The Shimano drive system works well; I have the 7-speed manual for our more hilly local terrain. The three levels of boost are noticeable, and with the range of gearing, I can easily tackle most hills. I’m looking forward to many years of luxurious riding. I highly recommend Steven and Amsterdam Bicycle Company for any bicycle needs.
