Azor Terschelling – Ladies
The Terschelling – Ladies is our most basic model: it’s a clean Dutch Women’s bicycle with less features, an old-school steel frame, and still great quality.
The brown tires, saddle and grips create a traditional and friendly look.
Main characteristics:
- Clean & basic Dutch bicycle
- Upright riding position
- Fewer parts means less weight
- Great Azor Quality
*the front rack in the pictures is optional

Azor Terschelling Oma Fiets green
All Expectations Were Met
This strong Oma fiets lugged steel frame built in the Netherlands. This is Army Green and is built like a tank. It has an extreme solid feel with build quality second to none. This classic design still is relevant to short hops and long distant tours. I purchased a fairly basic iteration with 3 speed coaster brakes. There is only 1 cable to worry about. The 700 x 48 brown tires are matched well with the green frame.
Distinct features:
– Valve cores: These unique Dunlop or Woods style make it easy to inflate tires. These have Presta threads without the flimsy stems which often break off!
– The Terschelling is named after a Dutch Frisian island. It is not named after a predatory dinosaur or some other meaningless bizarre space location.
– The front axel to fork dropout includes a countersunk washer which maintains alignment and integrity if the axel nuts become loose.
– The included tool kit looks primitive (no chrome plating but the spanners have a nice no slip matt black finish. A convenient zipper pouch is also included.
The Customer Service:
– Clear step by step guides were given during purchasing and shipping. There are clear instructions for you to determine the proper frame size. I think this is often overlooked in most recreational bikes today.
– The shipping and packaging were robust and prompt.. 4 days from The Netherlands to Ohio.
– I love cycling in The Netherlands but with Covid and all this will have to be the next best thing. This is a joy to ride and really enhances my cycling experience. No, I was not paid for this endorsement!

I love this bike! My buying experience with Amsterdam Bicycle Company was wonderful.
They answered all of my questions prior to purchasing the bike. When I ordered the bike they emailed me with the next steps which included verifying my inseam measurement as well as the color of the rear rack I chose as an add on (I accidentally selected “gloss” and not “matte” like I meant to so I really appreciated this attention to detail). They gave me an estimated shipping date and my bike shipped exactly when they expected it to. They let me know the tracking information as soon as it was available.
As for the bike itself, I ordered the dark red matte with the Nexus 3 – CoasterBrake option. The color is beautiful, the quality is superb and having the ability to shift up or down within a small range is very valuable for my specific commute. I don’t go up any super steep hills but there are some stretches that are a low-grade gradual climb. I ordered this bike partially assembled and it came with a little tool bag with most of the tools needed in order to put the rest of it together (the only one not included was a small Allen wrench/hex key which I needed in order to secure the bike rack. These tools are not expensive. Luckily I had one on hand).
I am very happy with this bike and the service I received from Amsterdam Bicycle Company. I highly recommend their bikes.
