The Terschelling was ordered on March 1, 2021 and received in Alberta Canada on the 19th of April. This was a week ahead of the expected delivery date. The bike is awesome. The bike is as described on the web site and I have been enjoying ride everyday.

The buying experience from the Amsterdam Bicycle Company was fantastic! I ordered the Azor Terschelling on Oct 2, 2020 and it was delivered on Dec 2, right on time as promised by Steven Verschuijl at ABC! Steven provided updates along the way and provided excellent customer service when I had questions about the ordering procedure and details about the bike.

The bike itself goes beyond my expectations! It is a great looking bicycle, so much better than 99% of other bikes on the road. But, it goes well beyond just good looks. The frame, wheels and all components are of high quality and it is obvious that this is a well-built bike.
The bike came partially assembled so I needed to attach the front wheel, handlebars and saddle and connect the front brake and adjust the rear brake and gears. In the end, I took the bike to a mechanic for final adjustments because I haven’t worked with roller brakes or internal gear hubs. For people with more experience, full assembly and adjustment shouldn’t be a problem. (I ordered the Terschelling with a seven-speed internal hub and front/rear roller brakes.)

The ride is smooth and solid and I love the upright riding position. I see more of what’s going on around me and it’s a totally different riding experience. In particular, I enjoy the handlebar position and swept back shape. Rather than leaning into a corner, the bike is really “steered” and this is a very different experience (but enjoyable!).

Something to bear in mind if you’re considering purchasing an Azor bike. This is a heavy bike, which is not a factor when riding but it might be challenging if you needed to regularly carry it up or down stairs into an apartment. The upright riding position is great but it’s not the most efficient if you live in a hilly area. If that’s the case, you’d be wise to strongly consider the seven-speed option. Even then, going up a steep hill is harder than on a more traditional road bike. In general, I ride slower on this bike but that’s the point! I can take in the scenery and enjoy seeing what’s going on around me. I use the bike for pleasure rides and running errands on the bike trails around the St. Paul/Minneapolis area and it’s the best!

Great bike, great company. Don’t ride your crappy mountain bike to the train station, get one of these and arrive in comfort!
The customer service from start to finish was amazing in this process. Steven helped me select a bike and was there with any assistance after it was delivered. Make no mistake though, you’re ordering a custom, hand built, low volume bicycle. That is great and actually kind of fun, but don’t expect an amazon next day delivery kind of thing. The bike is hand built in Holland and then shipped direct to you from the factory.

I did my own research on Azor so was able to find some options not listed on this site. Amsterdam Bicycle gladly accommodated my request for the “Eiffel” frame since the bike would be custom built anyway. I recommend that route, the frame looks fantastic and it’s a great place hang your U-lock!
My only gripe with the bike is that Azor uses short bolt and nut combos throughout so to tighten or adjust anything you need to fiddle with two small wrenches. I wish they would braze on studs, at least in some key locations. I built the bike myself, I wouldn’t really recommend that generally. These are solid (heavy) bikes, it’s not worth the frustration, let the shop do it!

So glad I found this company. Invest in a quality bicycle, you won’t regret it!

I’m very happy with mine. I was expecting tank-quality ruggedness, and I don’t think its quite that, but still very nice.

Turning to customer service, companies often ask “did we exceed your expectations?” (an absurd standard: I think I have answered “yes,” only once (with a German luxury car)). These guys certainly get a yes.
I could tell two stories about how they went above and beyond, but I’d rather not give the details because it will set expectations for others unrealistically high.
Suffice it to say that it might have been the best customer service experience I’ve ever had, period.

I’m 6’7″ and always struggle to find a bike that fits. I always wanted a cruiser/commuter bike but couldn’t find anything in US. I was recently in Amsterdam and noticed these awesome bikes all around and some very large ones at that. I got home and emailed these guys and they got right back to me with what I needed and three weeks later I had a new tall quality bike. They communicated with me throughout the process and shipping A+ for sure, thanks Amsterdam Bicycle!!

This bike is amazing! It reminded me of my grandpa stylish bike he had back in 80s. It rides great and looks how I want it to look. I love the simplicity of it.
