   I absolutely love this bike. It is very well built, comfortable to ride and practical for city use.

   I have always had many bikes — mountain bike, cyclo-cross bike, cruiser. After a recent trip to Copenhagen where I rented a bike, I really saw how great these upright Dutch bikes were to tool around a city. Bear in mind, this is a city bike, designed to get you or additional young passengers around, and to do errands and so forth. To carry heavy loads, the bike needs to be super strong, which is it since it is made out of steel. But that makes it heavy. Just be aware of that.
   You will not want to take this out on really hilly country rides. But if you want a Cadillac city bike that is just a total pleasure to ride, this is it. It is very well designed and very well built.

   Also, if you are ordering from the States, you are naturally going to have some reluctance to pull the trigger on a purchase like this not having seen or ridden the bike. Well, just talk the Amsterdam Bicycle Company. They are happy to answer tons and tons of questions and help you get the right size, etc. Spend a good amount of time exchanging your measurements with them and ask them questions, they will help you. Great customer services, great bicycle.

   Oh, and I had it assembled and riding it within 5 days of my order. Shipping is pretty fast.
   I am pretty good with bicycle assembly and repairs, and I had no problem assembling the bike with their instructions. If you are not good with this sort of thing, I would recommend just paying a local bike store to do the final assembly for you and make sure everything is well tuned.

   I am very happy with this purchase.

   It is a very rare experience anymore to have such good customer service. Steven and Xander were communicative, kind, exhibiting professionalism coupled with occasional humor, all to make me feel as though I were their only customer! A truly lovely experience and with incredible nanosecond speed in all areas 😉

   I have to sing out glorious praises for this sturdy, beautiful and functionally very smart bicycle. In the 1980’s I was a bicycle messenger in Washington DC and since then have continued to ride many different styles and types of bikes that have been in fashion here in North America.
   This particular bike, this Dutch one, is a Cadillac-like model. I am referring to the comfort factor, as one feels as though not on a bicycle as much as a moving couch! The gear ratio on the 8 speed is fabulous and all that anyone would ever want or require. The brakes are easy to use and adjust. The seat is quite comfortable and a piece of artwork in itself. The Dutch manufacturing can be seen and felt immediately in all areas, to be of superior quality and increased longevity – I am prepared to have this bike for the rest of my life!
   Did I mention how much fun it is to ride?!

   I feel like a new bike rider of some long ago time period, giddy with excitement and joy. I can assure you this is a wonderful ride!

   ENGLISH – Disclaimer: I rarely do online reviews and agreed to do this one for several reasons (A French review will follow).

   If you want to get a wonderful bike, aesthetically beautiful, solid and that will last you. Do not look any further. Do you live far away? Can’t try it? Are you like me, a 170cm creature who has always had trouble finding a bike that fits your size? You problems are solved. The Amsterdam Bicycle Company team was able to help me VERY quickly, told me what measurements I needed to take on my current bike to find the perfect frame for me, sending the package to international went smoothly, the box arrived INTACT. I was able to have my bike assembled at a bike shop here in Ottawa with no problems and the Amsterdam Bicycle Company team checked in often if everything was ok on my end.

   Now I have to tell you, when I got on the bike. You feel like you’re floating when riding this bike. In Europe, this type of bike is still quite common, but not in North America. I turn heads!

   Seriously, if you have a cruiser bike to buy, I strongly advise you to do business with this company. A big thank you to Steven and Xander!

   Si vous voulez vous procurer un merveilleux vélo, esthétiquement beau, solide et qui vous durera. Ne cherchez pas plus loin. Vous habitez loin? Vous ne pouvez l’essayer? Vous êtes comme moi, un créature de 170 cm qui a toujours eu de la difficulté à trouver un vélo ajusté à sa taille? Vous problèmes sont réglés. L’équipe de “Amsterdam Bicycle Company” a su m’aider TRÈS rapidement, m’a dit quelles étaient les mesures à prendre sur mon vélo actuel afin de trouver le cadre qui irait parfaitement pour moi, l’envoi du colis à l’international s’est fait sans heurts, la boîte est arrivée INTACTE. J’ai pu faire assembler mon vélo dans un magasin de vélo ici à Ottawa sans problèmes et l’équipe d'”Amsterdam Bicycle Company” s’est informé souvent si tout était correct de mon côté.

   Maintenant, je dois vous dire, lorsque j’ai embarqué sur le vélo. On a l’impression de flotter lorsqu’on se ballade sur ce vélo. En Europe, ce type de vélo est quand même assez courant, mais pas en Amérique du Nord. Je fais tourner les têtes!

   Sérieusement, si vous avez un vélo de promenade à vous procurer, je vous conseille fortement de faire affaire avec cette compagnie. Un gros merci à Steven et Xander!

   It is a beautiful bike and once shipped made it to my place within the week. It is an amazing machine but this does come at the cost of weight, it is very heavy. After riding it around town it has gotten a lot of looks and complements and I must say it is the most comfortable bicycle I have ever had the chance to ride. I will say if you are not mechanically inclined take it to a shop, It took me a fair bit of work doing this one and it will need a lot of adjusting.

   If you are on this page and reading these reviews, you can congratulate yourself then, considering you almost an aficionado on antique and vintage stuffs.

   To my experience, this is the best vintage bike you can find in the entire internet. It maintains a classic appearance yet with brand new and best parts to establish, like the brake, bell, speed-changing system, etc.

   The vendor is positive to reach out to you, concerning your experience and feeling. You can feel free to ask any question about the product. I purchase this bike from US which means it needs be shipped over the sea. The valve of rear inner tube is broken so I must change one from my local shop, and the Amsterdam company refunds me the money without any comprise.
   After the bulky stuff and long journey on shipment, there is no damage and scratch at all but with only a valve broken, I consider it more than satisfactory.

   I had been looking for an original Dutch bicycle for a while. I like the way they look and they are much more comfortable than most bikes we see in the US. After looking at the different options, I finally decided to order my Azor Amsterdam bicycle and my only regret is that I did not get one sooner.

   The ordering process with Amsterdam Bicycle Company is very smooth and they followed up with me to answer any questions. My bike was shipped from The Netherlands right to my home and I only had to do a little assembly. If you are familiar with bikes, it’s really not very hard. But if you never did basic bicycle maintenance, such as changing out a wheel, or adjusting a brake, I would recommend having it done by a professional.

   Once the bike was assembled, I made my first test ride and it was a delight! This is not just a bicycle, this is a high quality riding machine. It looks amazing, rides smoothly and is very well equipped. You can really tell that this bicycle was made with craftsmanship and attention to detail. If you consider that you will enjoy riding this bicycle for the rest of your life, it is an investment that is well worth it.

   If you are in doubt about ordering with Amsterdam Bicycle Company, just contact them before you make your decision. They will walk you through the process and will work with you to find the bike that is perfect for you.
